Overall I am enjoying moving up the years (year 9 now) in this new game a good deal more than I was in the update before it. I have found more choices and more choices because of strategy is always good. I like that I can spend cashews on more things and buy stuff like extra time in the day and there are times where I will feel good about my gun and want to buy something else. I like that I don't need to buy bridge parts as that felt very punishing for no benefit to the game. And being able to choose which zones to use for beds or propagation has been solid. You will have different amounts of time during the day to do things, different watering needs, different spacing needs etc. ![]() You are going to have different needs and wants if you are playing more propagator vs garden beds. ![]() I can use them to tailor my run and they actually play differently. While this update didn't solve that, I found that the upgrades have been helpful. One of my bigger complaints with atomicrops was how many runs can feel the same. The addition of the upgrading seeds has been positive for me. Now just having mostly 4 separate crops (plus pumpkins, sunflowers, trees) is not just simpler, but I don't feel depth loss. Trying to get 4 to plant to grow bigger with so many crops left a lot of empty holes with wanting a multiple of 4 of each number. Before there were a bunch of different crops, but being honest as someone going up in the years and playing a good amount around 6 or 7, keeping them all straight and choosing which ones to plant was an annoying practice in memory.

I thought that it was just another VN among many other, but instead it was so much more. I literally fell in love with this game the first time I saw it and while I was playing it. I've played this game a lot elsewhere and even on my Switch as well, but I only had the chance of buying it now here on Steam. Don't get fooled by the few hours I have here. |
